Connecting families and missionaries
Missionary Clock! You can now add a clock onto the main page that will show what time it is wherever the missionary is. You can choose from several different clock styles. You can add this by editing the main page.
We added an option to show how many days a missionary has been in the field rather than showing how many days till they return. You can change this by going to your Account Information page.
We also added a feature that lets you change the order of links on the links page.
First is the highly requested emailing function. We have added a page where you can make a list of emails that is associated with your missionary site. Then, whenever you update the site or want to invite more friends and family, you can easily send them an email to tell them what was updated. To access this page just go to your Site Admin Center ( There is also a link to it at the bottom of every page of your mission site) and then click "Email Friends and Family". You will first have to add some people to your list by clicking "Click here to add them". Then you can go back and send an email to all of them at once.
Another feature is that the site address that you choose when you sign up will "stick" in the address bar and make cleaner addresses like http://www.missionsite.net/ElderRobertSmith/letters
We also made an option to password protect only the message board part of your mission site. You just select this option and enter a password on the Account Information page.
The site is starting to grow and we want to make sure everyone has a great experience so we are making some changes to the site that we want you to know about.
We just upgraded to new web servers with more hard drive space! This was made possible by your donations and your ad clicks. Because of this we have increased the maximum number of pictures that can be uploaded to 500! Only a few of you have reached the previous 100-picture limit but now you don't have to worry about deleting old pictures. Just upload to your heart's content!
We also now allow pictures to be uploaded in large size (1024 pixels wide) so that they can be used as backgrounds or just for extra detail. Here are a few other things we have changed on the site:
-Your Links page will now automatically list links to other missionaries in the same mission who have a website on MissionSite.net
-Events that have a date in the future will now be listed as "Upcoming Events" and will be separate from the events that have already happened.
-When viewing a picture, the thumbnails of the previous and next pictures are displayed on the bottom
We have also made a few smaller changes to the site design and wording. Please let us know if you like or dislike any of the new changes. Also, expect some more exciting changes to MissionSite.net that will help you share the missionary experience with all your family and friends.
MissionSite.net has been updated and now has many new features to help connect people with your missionary. Below is a list of some of the great new features that are now available:
